Alumni Meet on June 3rd, 2012
Dhruva College of Management – ‘the Best Emerging B-School in Asia’ – organized its 15th Annual Alumni Meet on June 3, 2012 amidst great bonhomie at the College Campus at Oxygen Park, Medchal. Bringing together the Dhruva community of alumni, students and faculty, the reunion set stage for rekindling the fond memories of the bygone years amongst particularly the alumni. The alumni were not only nostalgic about their alma mater, they were all excited to notice the developments not only in the new state-of-the-art campus but also in the mindsets of the present batch of students. The event also provided an opportunity for the alumni to interact and cross-fertilize ideas with the present batch of students. The event was well attended by the alumni belonging to various batches of the institution. An elaborate programme including felicitation of faculty, staff and alumni who brought laurels to the college was followed by luncheon.
Speaking on the occasion, the Founder-Chairman Dr S Pratap Reddy said: “Whatever Dhruva College of Management today is largely due to the efforts and contribution of its students, faculty and all the stakeholders of Dhruva family. Surely it is the strong emotional connect that exists between our alumni and Dhruva that draws them back to the college again and again on occasions like this. And it is for us to leverage the positive energy the flourishes in the family ‘genes’ of the institution to create an expanded global community of Dhruva College of Management.”
Prof Kunal and Prof. Nikhil, Alumni Coordinators welcomed the gathering, summarizing the events that occurred over the course of one year and highlighting the achievements of the college during the period.
Several of the past students who have carved out a niche in various walks of life recounted the pivotal role played by the college in their professional growth and their willingness to work towards further progress and expansion of Dhruva College of Management.
The occasion was also graced by Dr Pushpalata Reddy, Vice-Chairperson of Dhruva College of Management. She recalled the tumultuous journey of Dhruva over the last 17 years and its culmination into the Asia’s Best Emerging B-School today.
